Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Estate Planning and Administration Attorney to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess substantial expertise in estate planning and administration matters, with a focus on providing comprehensive legal counsel to clients in managing their estates. This individual should demonstrate exceptional analytical abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and adeptness in managing various legal projects effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Formulate comprehensive estate and succession plans and draft and review the documentation and instruments to facilitate the implementation thereof.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis pertaining to estate planning issues, such as probate, trusts and fiduciaries, taxation, and guardianship matters.
  • Provide strategic legal advice and guidance to clients on matters related to estate planning, wealth preservation, and estate administration.
  • Represent clients in estate-related litigation, including but not limited to will contests, trust disputes, and fiduciary conflicts.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals within the firm to develop proactive strategies for estate planning, asset protection, and succession planning.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents affecting estate planning and administration, and advise clients accordingly.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, delivering exceptional legal services and support tailored to each client's unique estate planning needs and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Indiana State Bar.
  • Years of experience practicing in the probate, trust, and real property section of Indiana, preferably in a law firm setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of probate law issues, real property, and contracts, with a strong emphasis on estate planning, administration, and fiduciary responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
