Job Summary The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)at North Florida Regional Medical Center is comprised of an 18-bed main PACUunit, a 7-bed Womens Center PACU unit, and an 8-bed outpatient recovery unit.
We have an incredible team of nursesand techs who care for our patients during the immediate post-anesthesiaperiod. We provide post-anesthesia care for patients following a wide varietyof procedures, and are often faced with intensive hemodynamic monitoring andpain issues.
Our goal is to provide exceptionalpost-anesthesia care to both inpatients and outpatients. Our team also supporteach other; we are one big, hardworking PACU family! We are always looking fornurses who are willing to make a commitment to being a part of our dynamicteam.
Qualifications Current license as a RN Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
1+ Years of experience as a RN in a Critical Care settingrequired
Customer service abilities includingeffective listening skills. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and theability to work with minimal supervision in a fast pacedenvironment. Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing,bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipmentup to 50 pounds.
